For the sultry James Bond theme Skyfall number, they change into wet-look black leather. It doesn't get more calculatedly steamy than this. The auditorium goes wild!"

LATINOS IN LONDON (London, UK) 2016
“The stars of the show were German Cornejo & Gisela Galeassi who first became world tango champions in 2003 and the precision and effortless beauty of their choreography had the audience captivated from the moment the curtain rose.”
LORD MICHAEL BATES BLOG (London, UK) 2016
"German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi then take to the stage to perform the first of two tango duets. Their first performance titled A Los Amigos has power, the chemistry between the two dancers is undeniable as each movement oozes sensuality. This is highlighted in their second performance SuSu, a piece inspired by Romeo and Juliet. It’s a lyrical duet that conveys forbidden love through compelling movement. The spectacular performance had the audience last night literally gasping aloud at the unbelievable lifts in the duet which are performed so effortlessly."
SINCERELY AMY (Birmingham, UK) 2016
"Two tango duets from German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi provide the most show stopping moments in Dance: Sampled, provoking audible gasps and spontaneous, mid-performance applause from an admiring audience. Their first duet, A Los Amigos, reflects a dangerous game of sensuality and power between a man and woman. Although moving swiftly, the couple appear absolutely glued to the stage. The intricacy and speed of their leg kicks and flicks is breath-taking, and certainly adds an extra dimension of risk to the occasion. Cornejo and Galeassi's final piece, SuSu, is more narratorial, speaking of forbidden love and secret passion. Pulses are set racing by gravity defying lifts; in the blink of an eye Galeassi appears to flip in mid-air, or drop to the floor as quickly as if she had fallen - but of course she hasn't. These two dancers are so incredibly slick, passionate and charismatic; fully deserving of their standing ovation."
BROADWAY WORLD (Birmingham, UK) 2016
"German and Gisela are an Argentinian Tango duo with enough sass in the leg to win worldwide stardom. Explosive, oozing in desire and the yearn for more, the duo’s danger and speed interweaving within effortless drama ensued a tempestuous stream of appreciation following their sophomore number. Risky aerial moves and ultimate precision, it’s not surprise as to why these two are so highly regarded."
HISKIND (Birmingham, UK) 2016
"German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi provide the most show stopping moments in Dance: Sampled, provoking audible gasps and spontaneous, mid-performance applause from an admiring audience. These two dancers are so incredibly slick, passionate and charismatic; fully deserving of their standing ovation."
E IS FOR EMMA (Birmingham, UK) 2016
“Argentinian Tango duo, German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi are world champions, and from their two short performances, it is easy to see why. The first, A Los Amigos, was a fast-paced piece fuelled with fire and passion. Blink and you’ll miss it, because the footwork is so fast it is hard to believe someone is quite capable of that! The second, SuSu, was inspired by the forbidden love in Romeo and Juliet, and had more lyrical elements to it. In true Tango style, the slow, sensual rhythms were interrupted by incredible sharp movements from the dancers. Cornejo and Galeassi are the ideal partnership, gliding across the floor in complete unison with each other. They received the largest applause of all, and deservedly so."
REDBRICK (Birmingham, UK) 2016
"Intensos intérpretes.” “(…) Un potente trío masculino."
LA TERCERA, (Santiago de Chile, Chile) 2016
"Met enige vertraging liet het symfonisch orkest Casco Phil de musical op het publiek los. In een choreografie van Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui werden danseressen Gisela en Jennifer aan een razend tempo gelift en in het rond gedraaid door hun partners. "Ik dacht echt dat ze het water in ging liggen", was een veelgehoord commentaar."

"The dynamism and power of German Cornejo (known as “Nikito”).”
DANCETABS (Birmingham, UK) 2014
"So many outstanding performances, however German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi stole the show. Cornejo had Galeassi in a single armed full presage in which he spun Galeassi round for what seemed like minuets – spectacular. The energy, passion, creativity and delicate footwork accompanied by a live band onstage left the audience standing. They are not here for long, every choreographer in town must get tickets!”
DANCETRAIN MAGAZINE (Sydney, Australia) 2014
"My favourite dance couple in Sidi Larbi Cherquoui's Milonga, amongst a superb and diverse cast, was Gisela Galeassi and German Cornejo. To say that this couple have a huge stage presence is an understatement. Their virtuosity and bravura is mind blowing. As stage tango goes, this is as good as it gets - the zenith of its expression.”

“In all, it was a night of sassy movement and passionate embraces that got pulses rising and drew gasps of astonishment (the man seated next to me kept exclaiming “wow” each time the dextrous dancers executed an aerial or acrobatic feat onstage).”

“(…) Cornejo and his nine dancers — of which five were world tango champions — had the audience eating out of the palms of their outstretched hands.”

“There were cheers throughout and it was no surprise that the show ended with a deservedly rousing standing ovation from the enraptured audience.”

STELLA-LOVES (Johannesburg, South Africa) 2014
“Those various threads and influences all merge in Tango Fire, which isn’t only the exuberant ra-ra dance spectacular you might expect. At times it’s downright melancholy and moody, with music that my escort deemed fit to be played at a Russian funeral.
Tango Fire is presented by 10 young and flawless Argentinian professionals, in a series of dances that sometimes feature one stunning couple or another and sometimes the entire troupe, kicking, swirling, spinning and strutting in dances that range from sorrowful to seductive.”
DAILY MAVERICK (Johannesburg, South Africa) 2014

“It is quite something when a sold out theater gasps in concert; it is even more rousing when the entire hall goes wild with applause stamping in tandem to demand an encore, as they would in Moscow. But this was the kind of frenzy that Tango Fire inspired in Toronto this afternoon. And I have no doubt that this show will rouse audiences around the world as it brings its own brand of fire to the stage.”
PLAYS TO SEE ***** (Toronto, Canada) 2013

BROADWAY WORLD (Toronto, Canada) 2013
“When German Cornejo told me that every single time Tango Fire performed, audiences leapt to their feet to give the ensemble a standing ovation, that little voice in my head said, “Ah, German, I fear you are about to be disappointed.” Toronto audiences are very polite.(...) My little voice has now, officially, shut up. Five minutes into Tango Fire's spellbinding performance, the audience was gasping collectively in awe and delight. By the final bars of this afternoon's performance, all semblance of polite Canadian applause dissolved in a roar as a full house leapt to its feet, clapping, stamping, screaming, and wolf whistling for more. And at the end of the encore, we did it again!”
PLAYS TO SEE ***** (Toronto, Canada) 2013

MONTREAL QUEBEC LATINO (Montreal, Canada) 2013
“At one point in the show, Cornejo lifts her leg in a side extension fully beyond 180 degrees. This is impressive and unsettling at once. Unsettling because as the women’s acrobatics grow ever more spectacular, the men grow ever more aggressive, and the combined energy ever more violent.”
THINKING DANCE (Philadelphia, USA) 2013
"Once the show was over, the performers received a well-deserved standing ovation from the crowd."
THE SPECTRUM (Buffalo, USA) 2013
“TANGO FIRE was a magnificent explosion of delight and grace! "An outstanding production, cleverly choreographed, excellently performed and warmly accompanied by a live orchestra."
BACHTRACK **** (London, UK) 2013
"The cast do what they do with most eager abandon and dizzying, slashing legs and feet. The five couples are gifted, seriously adept, and beguilingly able to involve themselves in the arbitrary confrontations, the sexually charged poses and lightning-flash dramas of the tango."
FINANCIAL TIMES **** (London, UK) 2013
"This evening of authentic Argentinian dance leaves Strictly in the shade."
THE LADY MAGAZINE (London, UK) 2013

"Al público en la Maag Event Hall le gustó mucho, hubo un aplauso enorme al final y mucha gente se levantó para felicitar a los artistas."
PUNTO LATINO (Zurich, Switzerland) 2013
"Cornejo should be praised for the group choreography, as well as the show’s overall slickness, which allows it to run like a well-oiled machine – packing in shed-loads to the allotted two hours without feeling excessive."
THE ARTS DESK (London, UK) 2013
"The highlights of the evening were the last few numbers of the second act, specifically a number performed by German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi titled Susu. This number used an incredible mix of classic tango and modern elements in order to create a show stopping eleven o'clock number. (…)
Cornejo, also the shows choreographer, clearly knows how to entertain an audience. His solos with partner Galeassi were by far the most impressive routines of the evening - earning the duo thunderous applause. While all the other dancers were excellent, none brought the same passion and skill to their act as Cornejo and Galeassi."
BROADWAY WORLD (Toronto, Canada) 2013
"I would be hard pressed to say which of the five couples drew my singular attention as the entire company consists of exceptional dancers and several of them are world tango champions. However, my hat goes off to German and his partner Gisela Galeassi who stunned the audience with their, jaw dropping swirls, quicksilver steps and passionate sensuality."
MOUNTAIN LAKE, (Montreal, Canada) 2013
"Tango Fire is choreographed by critically acclaimed Argentine choreographer & dancer German Cornejo. All of this graceful movement is directed once again by German Cornejo, a meticulous scholar and lover of classic and contemporary artistic ballet, jazz and acrobatic techniques."
FIESTA MAGAZINE (Washington, USA) 2013
“All the performers are superb, but it is the dark and seductive Gisela Galeassi and partner German Cornejo who demand most attention. Their first duet is a lightning-quick one in close embrace, with feet crossing over and legs interweaving faster than I could keep up with. Their second dance is slower but equally exquisite, with showy choreography including Cornejo holding Galeassi spectacularly over his head with one arm. These two dancers are worth the ticket price alone.”
DANCING TIMES (London, UK) 2013
"German and Gisela are clearly the stars of the 15-strong company."
DAILY MAIL (London, UK) 2013
"Group choreography is by German Cornejo, with each couple being responsible for their individual dances. And while there isn’t a weak link among any of the couples, it was a dance in each act by Cornejo and his partner Gisela Galeassi (with whom he has been World Tango Champion twice) that really brought the audience to its feet."

BACHTRACK **** (London, UK) 2013
"Jennifer Lopez favourites German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi’s early A Los Amigos routine was mind-bending in its flashy complexity and concluded with such a blast of bravura that many in the audience shot out of their seats with a roar of approval."
DANCING REVIEW (London, UK) 2013
"Wow, qué sexies, y qué bien les va!(…) Germán Cornejo y Gisela Galeassi (participantes del reality que grabaron Jeniffer López y su ex marido, ¡Q´ viva! The Chosen) estrenan en Londres Tango Fire, un musical que tuvo su éxito en otras ciudades de Europa.”
LA NACION (Buenos Aires, Argentina) 2013

BALLET (London, UK) 2011
"But the stand-out dance of the evening was performed and coreographed by the company's lead dancers German Cornejo (also the Company's Assistant Coreographer) and his partner Carolina Giannini. On a top of multitude of gasp-inducing acrobatic moves, it was the sexiest thing ever seen on stage.”
AUSTRALIAN STAGE (Melbourne, Australia) 2010
"''The stand-out couple by far were German Cornejo and Carolina Giannini. Giannini has the tightest technique of all the girls, her footwork is crisp and her flexibility is amazing to watch. Cornejo has the agility to make the lifts look seamless as he cuts Giannini into the air and sets her down like she is a feather, an amazing couple that you could watch for hours.”

VILLAGE VOICE (New York, USA) 2007
"Zum, tango de Piazzolla, fue la carta de triunfo de Germán y Carolina, por estar la coreografia plagada de acrobacias y caídas espectaculares, que si resultaron muy llamativas por parte de la bailarina, su compañero estuvo siempre atento a recibirla en brazos, igual que a lanzarla por los aires."
DANZA BALLET (New York, USA) 2007
"Thought German Cornejo lifted, dropped and caught Carolina Giannini in sensational ways, they were better just in the way they walked backward slowly together, lingering with gorgeous suspense over each pace.”
THE NEW YORK TIMES (New York, USA) 2007
"German Cornejo and Carolina Giannini ripping into Astor Piazzolla's Zum is true heart-in-mouth stuff."
METRO (London, UK) 2007
"The duets in Act II pile up with a ''Top this!'' brashnes that smacks of circus stunts. I'm thinking particularly of tiny Carolina Giannini, clad in a purple velvet outfit that features one trousered limb and one that's bare. Swung in cricles by German Cornejo, she slides along the stage into a grip of the proscenium arch.”
THE TIMES (London, UK) 2007
